ICGB signed a contract for receiving a grant from the Operational Program "Innovation and Competitiveness" 2014-2020
On December 21, 2018, an administrative contract for direct grant awarding was signed between the Project Company ICGB AD and the Managing Authority of the Operational Program "Innovation and Competitiveness" 2014-2020 for the project "Construction of Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria” amounting to EUR 39 million.
Three candidates expressed interest in the procedure for construction supervision
On 27.11.2018 the offers of the participants in the procedure for selection of a consultant for construction supervision for construction of gas interconnector Greece-Bulgaria were opened. Within the deadline were submitted three offers from the following companies: “ESM” Ltd. Joint venture “EKO BUL CONTROL” and Joint venture “GAS EXPERT 2018”.
Commission approves public support for natural gas interconnector between Greece and Bulgaria (IGB)
The European Commission has found Bulgarian and Greek plans to support the construction and operation of a natural gas interconnector to be in line with EU State aid rules. The project will contribute to the security and diversification of EU energy supplies without unduly distorting competition.

The Council of Ministers approved today the position of the Republic of Bulgaria according to which the Minister of Energy, coordinated with the competent authorities of Bulgaria, will hold negotiations with the Government of the Hellenic Republic for the preparation and signing of an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Hellenic Republic on the tax treatment of Gas Interconnector Greece - Bulgaria "(Project IGB).

Today in the office of the project company ICGB AD was held a public meeting for opening of the requests for participation in the restricted procedure for design, procurement and construction (EPC) of the gas interconnector Greece - Bulgaria. Eleven requests for participation from Bulgarian and foreign companies and consortiums have been submitted within the deadline.

Twelve companies and consortiums have submitted offers for participation in the procedure for selection of owner’s engineer for the needs of gas interconnector Greece-Bulgaria. The offers were opened today in the office of the project company ICGB during a public meeting opened to the media.
The National Regulators of Greece and Bulgaria adopted an official Joint Exemption decision for IGB from the requirements regarding third party access, tariff regulation and ownership unbundling
Following the decision of the European Commission on the Exemption of Interconnector Greece Bulgaria (IGB) from the requirements regarding third party access, tariff regulation and ownership unbundling, on 8th of August 2018 the National Regulators of Greece and Bulgaria adopted an official Joint Exemption decision for IGB.
