Congestion Management

ICGB has implemented a range of congestion management procedures (CMP) to ensure that the use of pipeline capacity is maximized and capacity hoarding at interconnection points is prevented.

ICGB applies the following CMP, following Article 14 of the ICGB Network Code.

From the Commercial operation date, the provisions of Article 14.2 Capacity surrender and, partially, the provisions of Article 14.3 Secondary market–capacity trading shall apply to all Interconnection Points. ICGB evaluates the congestion management procedures described in Article 14 to include or remove certain measures, all to increase the effectiveness of the Transmission Services.
