The first technical activities related to the filling of the IGB gas pipeline have been successfully completed
Preparations for the commercial launch of the IGB pipeline are actively progressing, and since mid-June tests with quantities of natural gas have been underway along the 182-kilometer route of the interconnector. The test volumes are currently 3,700,000 cubic meters.
EWRC and RAE with draft decision for ICGB’s certification as an independent transmission operator
ICGB moves forward with its certification as an independent transmission operator after the national energy regulators of both Greece and Bulgaria adopted a draft joint decision for certification of the project company managing the gas interconnector.
Testing of the gas metering station of IGB near Stara Zagora has been completed successfully
The facility has been successfully tested, the pneumatic tests for strength and density have been successfully performed; on Bulgarian territory, the IGB pipeline is already successfully connected to the national gas transmission network of Bulgartransgaz
All valves for the interconnector with Greece have been delivered; the work on the block valves has been accelerated
An interdepartmental group in Bulgaria is already working on options for reducing the administrative deadlines for the necessary procedures for putting the gas pipeline into operation.
