The Bulgarian Minister of Energy Andrey Zhivkov paid a visit to the #IGB project's site in the region of Lozengradtsi near the Greek border

The Bulgarian Minister of Energy Andrey Zhivkov paid a visit to the #IGB project's site in the region of Lozengradtsi near the Greek border – one of the most beautiful, yet challenging and complex sections of the gas pipeline’s route. Tough geology, steep mountain slopes, and dense forest areas are just some of the natural #challenges that lie ahead of the #construction crews.

During the walkdown, the Minister met with representatives from #ICGB and the #EPC contractor and had the opportunity to see for himself the excellent rate of #progress of all site activities. He noted the strategic importance of the #interconnector and pledged to assist the project by providing the necessary institutional support for the most crucial upcoming stages.
