Exciting news for #ICGB

Exciting news for #ICGB! In July this year Bulgaria gets to host the Sixth Summit of the regional Three Seas Initiative for the first time ever and ICGB’s Executive Officer Teodora Georgieva will join the #energy panel as a speaker to shed light on Bulgaria’s path to energy connectivity and #diversification and IGB’s role in the process. 

The Three Seas Initiative (3SI) aims to promote cooperation in the development of infrastructure in the energy, transport, and digital sectors. It targets new #investments, economic growth, and energy #security. The Initiative unites 12 countries - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria. 

The Summit will be held on July 8-9th under the aegis of the Bulgarian Head of State Rumen Radev. During the planned business forum participants and high-level official from all 12 countries will share insights and best practices in the field of energy, #innovation, transport and digitalization. In her presentation during the Energy panel, Mrs. Georgieva will highlight the importance of natural gas as a transition fuel for a carbon-neutral future and the major role the #interconnector Greece-Bulgaria plays in securing energy independence and #connectivity in the region.
